I provide counseling and psychotherapy services for individual adults and couples in Bartlett Illinois. My scope of practice includes a wide variety issues, however my specialty areas are:
Women's reproductive health and mental health issues, including coping with gynecological conditions and disorders including PMS/PMDD, PCOS, STD's, endometriosis, adenomyosis, pelvic prolapse, peri-menopause, menopause, migraines, surgical experiences, miscarriage, birth trauma, postpartum depression and anxiety, and other gynecological complications and issues.
Trauma therapy and support for those who have experienced a recent and/or past trauma and are having difficulty with intrusive thoughts, hypervigilance, flashbacks, PTSD, anxiety, avoidance, depression, etc.
Grief and bereavement counseling for those who have experienced the death of a loved one.
I also provide counseling and therapy services to adults who are dealing with the following issues/concerns.
- Relationship issues (including infidelity, co-dependency, separation, divorce, intimate partner violence, etc.)
- Life transitional stressors (quarter life and midlife)
- Parenting issues (including new adjustments to baby, working mother issues, consistency, balance, self care options if child is abusing alcohol or other drugs, etc.)
- Family substance abuse issues

I am in the midst of a year long specialized training program through the EMDR Institute in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. EMDR is an affect and body driven form of psychotherapy that is based on an information processing system designed to resolve symptoms resulting from disturbing and traumatic life experiences. EMDR is an evidenced based practice and is the most extensively researched treatment for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). I am currently completing my Level I consultation hours and in early 2012, I will attend my Level II training. For more information about EMDR follow the links below:
Clinical Supervision
I provide clinical supervision for clinicians who have obtained a Masters in Counseling or a Masters in Social Work, who are working toward licensure through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulations. I am committed to supporting, guiding, and mentoring therapists who are new graduates and are developing, expanding, and enhancing their therapeutic knowledge and skills. I offer individual and group supervision at a very reduced rate and would be happy to discuss your particular needs with you.
